Phantom is a browser-extensible wallet application that allows us to store, send, receive, stake and exchange tokens on the Solana blockchain. As Solana becomes more and more popular, so does the registration of Phantom wallets.
The Phantom application can currently be installed on Chrome browser, Edge browser, Brave or Firefox. Next, we will take Google Chrome browser (requires VPN) as an example to describe the registration and use of Phantom wallet in detail.
1 .First open the official website of Phantom wallet: https://phantom.app/ and click "Add to Chrome".
Click on "Add to Chrome" as shown in the image below.
As shown in the figure below, click "Add extension".
As shown in the figure below, a new page will pop up, click "Create New Wallet".
As shown in the figure below, save the mnemonic in the box and click "Ok, I save it somewhere".
As shown in the image below, enter the password and tick to agree to the terms of service, then click "Save".
As shown in the figure below, the shortcut key to open this wallet is introduced to you, click "Continue".
As shown in the figure below, click "Finish".
As shown in the figure below, click the upper right corner of the browser to add Phantom as a browser plug-in for easy operation.
Next, we will describe the operation of the wallet in detail from several aspects, namely "preparation work", "transfer in and out of wallet", "how to import private keys", "staking mining and withdrawal", "how to Exchange", "View transaction records", "Edit wallet name", "Modify password", "Change network" are described in detail.
Ps: A certain amount of SOL
If we want to complete various transactions in the Phantom wallet, we must prepare gas fees. Solana blockchain requires SOL as gas fees. A certain amount of SOL can be purchased on a decentralized exchange and referred to the Phantom wallet through the SOL transfer network
As mentioned in the previous article, we have added the Phantom wallet to the browser. First, find the Phantom wallet in the browser plug-in and open it. As shown in the figure below, enter the password and click "Unlock".
2.As shown in the figure below, click the red arrow above the wallet to directly copy the wallet address, which can receive tokens transferred through the Solana blockchain. Here we take the example of receiving SOL as a demonstration.
3.As shown in the image below, click on "Deposit SOL".
4. As shown in the figure below, click "Send from wallet / exchange".
5. As shown in the figure below, you will get the QR code of the wallet address. Try not to tell other people this QR code.
Transfer to wallet
As shown in the figure below, copy and paste the Phantom wallet address to the centralized exchange to transfer SOL to the wallet, and a certain amount of SOL will be charged as a handling fee during the transfer process.
Transfer out of wallet
As shown in the figure below, click "Send".
2. Then, click "Solana" as indicated by the arrow below.
3. As shown in the figure below, enter the wallet address and transfer amount respectively in the red box, and click "NEXT".
4. Next, a page will pop up, you need to confirm the transfer amount, the payment address, and the network fee. After confirming that it is correct, click "Send" to complete the transfer.
5. After the transfer is completed, you can see the transfer in the transaction record, indicating that the transfer has been successful.
1. Click the icon in the upper left corner of the wallet as indicated by the red box and arrow in the picture below.
2. Then, click on "Add / Connect wallet".
3. Next, click "Create a new wallet" to create a wallet.
4. Referring to the picture below, the wallet is created successfully, and you will get a new wallet and new address.
